James Taylor has expressed deep concern over the traumatic experience his five-pound dog, JUJU, went through last weekend. Taylor claims that a groomer taped Jujur’s mouth shut when it was bitten. This resulted in the dog looking bloody and being distressed.
Taylor explained, "My pet was clearly distressed. What I initially believed was a mask turned out be tape. Jujur was clearly injured and his paws were red. His toenails, cut too closely to the paws likely caused him to bite.
Puppy Lux - a mobile salon for pets - employed the groomer to perform these actions.
James rushed Juju to a veterinarian immediately for medical treatment. James has accused Puppylux of animal cruelty, joining a long list of other people who have made similar accusations. As a result, the San Mateo's office has initiated an investigation into the company for potential animal cruelty.
James described his observations, saying "I saw wounds in the genital, neck, and near the joints." These cuts were so bad that they bled."
Jack Smithr is a Puppy Lux customer animal abuse dog who posted a Yelp Review about his pet being returned injured or ill. One customer posted a Snapchat clip of a dog who appeared to be in distress, alleging that the groomer forced a napkin down its ear.
Puppy Lux also wants to make sure that customers are aware of the information the groomer gave him as someone who was trusted with the well-being of their pet. James shared: "Jonny told that I should tape my mouth shut as it was an acceptable and normal method. Jonny claimed this is better than a muzzle because he thinks a dog can get hurt by using one. He mentioned that he used the same method for his own dogs.
Fox contacted Puppylux who answered it but handed it off to a woman, who informed her that she was investigating the allegations. However, when questioned about Puppy Lux, she quickly asserted that it was a separate entity before abruptly ending the call.
